Biography
Dr. Oakley has been teaching at ASU since Fall 2014. She specializes in teaching writing in various forms, but primarily academic styles of writing. At the end of the Spring 2019 semester, she graduated with her PhD in Writings, Rhetorics, and Literacies. Her research specializations focused on digital pedagogy, institutional ethnography, feminist theory and pedagogies, and gender studies. In teaching she focuses on empowering her students and encouraging them to have a deeper understanding of the structure and "whys" of writing.
