What's Tech Got to Do with It? Research by Jonathan Hope and Jacob Greene + Homecoming Writing Awards

Professors Jonathan Hope (a Shakespearean) and Jacob Greene (a rhetorician) discuss their cutting-edge digital research, spanning topics from searchable text databases to Pokémon Go, in this annual lecture event that is part of the Department of English's celebration of ASU Homecoming. Prior to the faculty presentation, winners of English's Homecoming Writing Awards will be announced and will read from their work. Refreshments served!
A Conversation with Jayro Giron, Warner Bros. Animation

The Department of English presents alum Jayro Giron (BA 2014), a graduate of its film and media studies program, in a talk about his career in the world of animation. This event is also part of English's occasional Alumni Lecture Series.

Part of the annual university-wide celebration, the Come Home to English booth features giant, interactive crossword and word search puzzles designed by Regents' Professor and Arizona Poet Laureate Alberto Ríos. Prizes for correct answers! Kids ages 3-18 can pick up a free book and kids of all ages can converse with Department of English students, faculty, and staff.
