Biography
Jonathan Drnjevic was born and raised in Phoenix, attended Arcadia High School, and still lives in the neighborhood where he grew up. After attending Valparaiso University from 1977-1981 and earning a bachelor's in English and political science, he went to work for Best Western International at their headquarters in Phoenix. In 1989, he came to Arizona State University to pursue graduate studies in English and found a home in the Department of English and on the campus. He felt lucky to have had the chance to work at ASU's Hayden Library for a number of years prior to beginning full-time teaching in 2004. After obtaining his doctorate in 1997, he pursued an interest in finance by obtaining a bachelor's from the W. P. Carey School of Business in 2004 and an interest in libraries by obtaining a master's from the University of Arizona in 2006. Drnjevic has fallen in love with learning and hopes to continue reading and writing for a living for the foreseeable future.
