Bio

Sheila Luna manages all aspects of the graduate programs in English, including advising and admissions for the PhD programs in Literature, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Writing, Rhetorics and Literacies, English Education, and Applied Linguistics and three graduate certificates.  She coordinates admissions, advising, funding, recruitment, curriculum development, tracks alumni placements and facilitates professional development workshops for graduate students. She also assists with publicity for the graduate programs and writes and edits articles for Accents on English, the department newsletter.

Sheila Luna focused on creative nonfiction writing during her graduate studies and her essays have been published in various online and print literary journals. She has also served as a reader for literary journals and is active n the Phoenix area writing community.
