Program Description
The minor in English provides students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to improve their writing, enhance their ability to read and think analytically, and become critical consumers of media.
This program is delivered entirely online and serves as a complement to the chosen major of undergraduate students who are pursuing an ASU major online.

Current ASU undergraduate students may pursue a minor and have it recognized on their ASU transcript at graduation. Minor requirements appear on the degree audit once the minor is added. Certain major and minor combinations may be deemed inappropriate by the college or department of either the major program or the minor. Courses taken for the minor may not count toward both the major and minor.
Enrollment Requirements
The online minor in English consists of 18 credit hours, of which at least 12 credit hours must be upper division. The remaining six credit hours may be completed with ENG 200-499 courses. At least six of the upper-division credit hours must be earned from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. A grade of "C" (2.00 on a 4.00 scale) or higher is required in all courses taken for the minor.
