Chaucer Returns to the Movies

The Eighth Biennial ASU Chaucer Celebration is set for April 2022 and will again focus on Chaucer in film. Themed "Chaucer Returns to the Movies," the celebration features a video contest for ASU undergraduates and local high school students as well as appearances by special guests: film critics Manohla Dargis, author of L.A. Confidential (BFI, 2003) and Keith Phipps, author of Age of Cage: Four Decades of Hollywood Through One Singular Career (Holt, forthcoming October 2021).

Vist the Chaucer Celebration website for details about the film contest (submission deadline is Mar. 20, 2022). Details about the location for the awards ceremony will be shared at a later date.

ASU sponsors of the 2022 Chaucer Celebration include the Dean of Humanities in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Department of English, Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, ASU Library, Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing, Institute for Humanities Research, and Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College.
