The Department of English offers bachelor of arts (BA) degrees in English as well as Film and Media Studies. The Film and Media Studies program covers screenwriting, film styles and genres, media industries, and media and society, while English majors may choose from five concentrations: creative writing; linguistics; literature; secondary education; and writing, rhetorics and literacies. Graduate Admission
Graduate students in the Department of English will find a diverse and energetic intellectual atmosphere. Approximately 250 graduate students enroll each semester, a third of whom hold teaching assistantships. The admissions process is managed through ASU’s Graduate College.
