ASU’s program in film and media studies provides a comprehensive look at film, television, and digital media, including screenwriting, videogames, and social media. Offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees, the program provides students with skills that can be applied to careers within and outside of the film and media industries.
The Bachelor of Arts in film and media studies can be completed either in-person or online and focuses on a holistic analysis of the art and business of media. The fully online Master of Advanced Study in film and media studies enables working professionals to level-up their skills in critical media creation and interpretation.
Students in both the bachelor’s and master’s programs can also gain practical experience through the Department of English’s robust internship program; both online and in-person opportunities are available at many locations. Students can intern at film festivals, production companies, animation studios, public relations firms, and more.
