This modern English performance of the epic poem Beowulf is translated, performed, and directed by Chris Vinsonhaler and features ASU student actors.

About our guest
Chris Vinsonhaler is an assistant professor at the City University of New York (BMCC). She is also a professional storyteller and songwriter whose performance-based Beowulf translation was awarded a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and is forthcoming in 2019.

ASU's Beowulf Symposium invites campus and community members to participate in events aimed at showcasing medieval literature's relevance to modern society. All events are free of charge and open to the public.
