Academic advisors support students in achieving academic success and in making progress toward their goals. Our advisors work with new and continuing students, transfer students, and prospective students. If you're already an English or Film and Media Studies major or minor, or just considering making a change, we're here to help!

During their first year on campus, students will meet with an advisor in the Armstrong Hall advising hubs. The advisors in Armstrong Hall are dedicated to providing new students with meaningful plans to meet their academic and career goals.

Students can major in English and still be considered a prelaw student. The Prelaw advising office is located in the Futures Center located in Armstrong Hall on the Tempe campus.
