The Department of English Peer Mentorship Program connects undergraduate students across class levels in English, Film and Media Studies, and Culture, Technology & Environment to build community, share experiences, and explore academic and professional opportunities together.

Whether you're looking for guidance or ready to provide it, there's a place for you. Share your experience as a mentor or gain support and connection as a mentee.

Become a Peer Mentor

Are you a junior or senior who wants to make a difference for students in your major?

What You'll Do

  • Mentor a first- or second-year student in your major (or related field)
  • Share strategies for navigating coursework, college life, and campus resources
  • Help your mentee explore internships, career pathways, and opportunities for involvement
  • Participate in mentor training, workshops, and community-building events
  • Build connections across the Department of English
