The Department of English is seeking enthusiastic undergraduate students to serve as Student Ambassadors for the upcoming academic year. Help inspire future Sun Devils while developing valuable leadership, communication, and professional skills.
What you'll do
- Represent the Department of English at recruitment and outreach events, both in person and online.
- Assist in welcoming prospective students and families through department tours, individual meetings, phone calls, and virtual conversations.
- Share your experiences as a Department of English student and help prospective students explore academic opportunities.
- Contribute to departmental communications that highlight student experiences and the value of the humanities.
- Support department events, student engagement activities, and community outreach initiatives.

We’re looking for students who …
- Are enrolled in a Department of English undergraduate major, minor, or certificate.
- Are in good academic standing.
- Enjoy connecting with others and sharing their ASU experience.
- Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for representing the Department of English.

What to expect
Student Ambassadors serve from August through May, contributing approximately three hours per week through recruitment events, outreach activities, ambassador meetings, and departmental programs.
Optional internship credit (ENG 484) is available for students who wish to earn academic credit for their participation.
